* This is an Byzantine Art piece which shows Jesus Christ is surrounded by his 12 apostles. Jesus is washing one of the Apostles' feet. The setting is in Italy.
* Certain paintings similar to this may come in many different forms. These can be related to Early Christian Art time periods such as some very common icons, mosaics, and wall paintings of

Figurative Women in Two Different Time Periods
Prehistoric
times have dated back a number of years to where numerous studies have
found some ancient paintings. Various types of artifacts have been
discovered in different places such as high and low type burial grounds.
The Minoan culture is said to be the oldest society in Europe. This culture has occurred in Crete. This is made up of four different periods; Pre Palatial, Protophial, Neopalatial, and the Post Palatial times. The greatest amount of relics that we have today are Cycladic statuettes and pottery fragments.
This
first picture is of a woman from the Prehistoric Period, which is also
known as the oldest part of Cypriot history. There is a small article
that covers the period of 10,000 to 800 BC which immediately ends before
written records of civilization. An example of this is of the first
mention of Cyprus by the Romans.

The reason why I chose these pictures is that in both
images, the color textures show highs and lows of different shades of
coloring. This seems to overlay throughout both types of paintings and
to the way of the people, but more importantly, how the women from both
cultures were mostly portrayed.
